BE THE MATCH HOSTING BONE MARROW DRIVE AT PA CAMPBe The Match is excited to partner with Lauren´s First and Goal to host a marrow registry drive at the ninth annual LFG Football Camp on Sunday, June 3 at Lafayette College´s Metzgar Athletics Complex. The drive will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to save someone´s life? Join the thousands of coaches, players, and students from prestigious Colleges and Universities across the Country that have joined the Be The Match Registry as potential marrow donors. A simple cheek swab is all that is needed to determine if you could be the one to save one of the thousands of patients suffering from Leukemia, Lymphoma, Sickle Cell Anemia, or other blood disorders in need of a bone marrow transplant. You´ll only be contacted if you´re a match for someone in need. Please take this opportunity to join the Be The Match Registry. By becoming a member of the Registry, you could be a match for a patient in critical need-maybe even the only person who could save a patient´s life. The need for diversity is very important; of the 9 million members on the registry, only 7% are African American, 10% are Hispanic, and 7% are Asian! More ethnically diverse donors are desperately needed so that more lives can be saved! Tissue typing is an expensive process, so financial contributions of any size are greatly appreciated, and you can make a donation right here on this page. Below is more information about joining the registry: REGISTRY GUIDELINES: If you are unable to join, please consider becoming a volunteer to help recruit members, or make a financial contribution to help keep the registry growing. HEALTH GUIDELINES: IF YOU MATCH A PATIENT: TWO WAYS TO DONATE PBSC donation Marrow donation Please feel free to contact our Be The Match representative, Sarah, at 267-670-03639 or sbrooks@nmdp.org if you have any questions. We hope you will take a few minutes to attend the drive and help save a life. Be the one to save a life. Be The Match! |
