NEW CHILDREN’S BOOK SPREADS MESSAGE OF HOPE FOR SICK CHILDRENProceeds from book sales to be donated to pediatric brain tumor and cancer research and services EASTON, PA (August 4, 2009) - Parents and caregivers looking for a book to help their children understand and learn to cope with illness now have a new option. Lauren´s First and Goal Foundation is pleased to introduce Hope is Here to Stay, a children´s book that features the true story of 12-year-old Lauren Loose and the battle she continues to fight against pediatric brain tumors. Written by Lauren´s aunt, Patrice Mary Domozych, Hope is Here to Stay is designed to spread hope and the message of Lauren´s First and Goal Foundation. The book describes how the Loose family - John, Marianne, Lauren and Gracie - discovered a way to not only help themselves, but help others living with pediatric cancer. “Lauren inspires people,” said Domozych. “Those who meet her are immediately taken with her charm and spirit. It made sense to write her story - to let the world meet her and see what is possible.” Domozych, a former elementary school teacher, now serves as an Adjunct Lecturer in Child Study at St. Joseph´s College in New York. Although Domozych authored the book, it was illustrated by the talented and generous artists from Splashes of Hope, a non-profit organization that paints murals at hospitals and other medical facilities. Hope Is Here To Stay can be purchased online at www.amazon.com and at www.booksurge.com. In addition, a hardcover edition was recently released and is available via phone from Book Surge at 866-308-3265, ext. 5692.
